Guess what I saw today

Talked to a nun about my senior project for helping kids at her summer school and halfway through she whipped out her iPhone… Not something you see everyday :)

So I’ve been trying for about a year now to get a job. Today I went to York beach with my friends and I saw the cutest candy shoppe/resteraunt called the Golden Rod. I walked over to it and it was literally one of those old timey ones where you can see the taffy being made in the window. I walked to the door and low and behold a sign read “Now Hiring” now mind you I’m 45 minutes away from my home but I say fuck it why not and I walk in and ask for an application. well I got an interview that day and I’m expecting a call tomorrow on the verdict… Is this fate? It sounds like the perfect summer job. Now if only I could buy the 1.4 million dollar houses along the beach in walking distance and I’ll be all set.

I don’t know how to let go

Holding hands may seem like an innocent gesture, but they show more than a simple interlocking of fingers. Your hands are one of the most essential parts of your body: you build with them, feed with them, hold with them, touch with them, fight with them; they are the tools of the human body. To take a hold of another’s hand is to break from living individually. It is to link yourself to another being, to momentarily entwine your life with another’s, to promise, for a moment, that you need not face the world alone. More simple, more aesthetically naive than other forms of affection, i.e kissing, hugging, sexing.., the act of holding hands is often trivialized in its true implications.

From the look on your face, and the chains about your neck,
I’m willing to bet you’re a prized possession.

Just give it up.
Just give it your all.
Just give it up.

This is not the way you were meant to be.
This is not a moment of clarity.
This is not the way you were meant to be.
This is…
